Dr. Shahin Shirzadi is a board-certified neurologist with over two decades of clinical expertise, serving patients in the Houston area with a focus on evidence-based care and clinical research. Born in Pittsburgh, PA and raised in Houston, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Houston before earning his Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University.

He went on to complete his Internal Medicine internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, followed by a Neurology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. In his third year of residency, Dr. Shirzadi was honored with the prestigious Frank Yatsu Award, which is given to a resident who exemplifies clinical excellence, leadership, and a deep commitment to advancing neurology. He was subsequently selected as Chief Resident—another testament to his dedication and expertise. He completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology in 2000 and has been board-certified in Neurology since that year.

Dr. Shirzadi’s areas of clinical interest include multiple sclerosis, seizure disorders, stroke, headaches, neuropathic pain, movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, and neuromuscular conditions. He is also passionate about medical education and often lectures on migraines, Alzheimer’s disease, and chronic pain.

He is a proud member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology, Texas Neurological Society, and Harris County Medical Society.
